Recently we voted for a new State Governor. Below are the results of this exciting race
Race for Governor of New Jersey
Jon Corzine VS Doug Forrester
54% 46%
with a majority of the votes Doug Forrester concedes and Johnny Boy Corzine wins the election. What a barn burner.
As exciting as the race for governor was (hey I did watch the debate from TCNJ), there were other races going on that you might have not realized. Let's look at the results from some of these other races in new jersey
Race for Top State Convenience Store
WaWa VS QuickChek
94% 6%
With 96% of all locations reporting we are going to predict the winner to be WaWa for the 100th year in a row. A constant provider of superior subs/hoagies and iced tea have once again been enough to dominate the election. Quick check basically sucked at life. Wawa's campaign, "We completely rule the state and sell cheap Gas too" won the hearts of voters from all regions. Quick Check had no clear method of attack this year and their campaign of "Hey, we sell Twinkies Too," did not appeal to as many young voters as previously thought.
Race for most hated State Animal
Squirrel VS Deer
43% 57%
With 97% of locations reporting it seems as if the Deer will win this years competition as the most annoying animal in the sate of New Jersey. Seriously if you stop in the headlights of an oncoming car you deserve no additional intelligence. Squirrel tried to act dumb by eating acorns all day and running up trees, but the Deer's complete lack of brain power and huge useless antlers drove them to victory. If squirrels want to win in 4 years they have to start running into cars and eating every shrub in its path.
Race for Worst Out-of-State Drivers
New York VS Pennsylvania
65 % 35%
All the locations are reporting and therefore we can say that New Work drivers have been voted worse than Pennsylvania drivers. Even though a lot closer race than first anticipated, New York once again saved its reputation. Congratulations to all NY counties
Race for Self service VS Full Service Gas stations
Self Service VS Full Service
1% 99%
With over 99% of the votes, Full service has won a commanding victory over Self Service. It is clear that the state loves to sit in their cars during the cold, snowy months and have someone pump gas for them. Plus we enjoy some of the cheapest gas around and will never get out of our cars to pump it. The 1% of voters who voted for self service were reported to be Southerners who had no idea what Full service meant.
